Following on from my post  Process Discrimination and Living with Prejudice I took the kids to the Exploratorium in San Francisco on Sunday.  It is a fabulous place which is an education for children and adults alike.  I love it because it echoes theme of my blog “Making you think”.  It is  massively hands-on.

However, one very simple exhibit brought home how strong preconceived views are.

Could you drink from this (working) water fountain?  Even though you were told the toilet was clean and had never been used.   The older the person, the more problem they had.  It is the same for the word process?  Are you fighting years and years of engrained views?

Oh…  BTW I did drink from it.
